Douglas ‘Chuck’ Booth (Baseball Writer)- By taking a look at the best pictures you have for every ballpark, you really could make a wrong assessment on the quality of it. I have O.co Coliseum ranked dead last out of all baseball parks right now. The only seats I like sitting in are in the third deck behind home plate. I will purchase my ticket from the box office for just this. Lunch will be fast food or the Denny’s on Hergenberger Road. My flight arrives early enough to drive out to Concord, CA and check in at the Best Western.

While this 30-20 schedule has 10 double-headers, I am doing a lot of cross-country trips in between cities. My flight to Tampa Bay leaves at 6:00 AM the next day. I always visit Oakland with caution. It is not the nicest neighborhood in town. Thanks to a tip from Ken Lee, I will look to park for free at the Bart Station near the Park. At least in past years the ball club was semi competitive. The team is full rebuilding mode now. I can’t say I blame them with how the Angels and Rangers have exploded in the AL West. The A’s need to wait it out while those teams get old and overpriced in a few years.

The game plan in Oakland is to get through the game in one piece and get out of there. I will aim to take a better picture to replace the one I got below though.
